A Game Changing Partnership: Tennis Wales & 1985

Grab yourself a beer, some popcorn - or some strawberries and cream, even - and check out the latest addition to our Game Changer series... We've teamed up with Tennis Wales to form a grand slam of a pairing: Tennis and 1985!

Through the partnership, the 1985 brand will work with Tennis Wales in its commitment to Open tennis up across Wales at grassroots level to people of all ages and backgrounds, and use Tennis as a tool for positive social impact. So, 1985 will be popping up at numerous competitions and events across Wales, and we'll be putting a few videos together in order to celebrate this brilliant British sport!

1985 is a deliciously refreshing premium lager that boasts a moreish malty base, flecked with delicate orange and tangerine notes. Pale straw in colour, 1985 is brewed using the best of British hops together with European lager hops to give this unique Kolsch-style lager a cool, crisp taste.

The first lager brewed by Wye Valley Brewery, which is available in 330ml bottles, has already won five awards since its launch in 2016. The awards include three consecutive Gold Awards in the SIBA Wales and West Lagers and Pilsners categories in 2016, 2017 and 2018. 1985 was also awarded Gold at the SIBA National Independent Beer Awards in 2019.
