real ales

For a small, regional brewery we believe we've a pretty diverse family of draught and bottled ales.

At its core are three long-standing favourites: Butty Bach, HPA and Wye Valley Bitter. These terrific traditional ales are complemented by the brilliant beers in our Dorothy Goodbody's range. Adding further variety are monthly brews such as the one below.

The Best 4x4

A classic brown ale with a sweet, nutty flavour balanced by a resinous hop character, this fine ale was first brewed in 2008 to celebrate the diamond jubilee of 'the farmer's friend'. 4.4% ABV.
